Alger Wilson (The Hanged Man)
阿尔杰·威尔逊
A blue-haired mixed-blood with trace elven ancestry. Initially introduced as captain of the ghost ship 'Revenge of the Azure', affiliated with the Church of Storms. A composed and experienced tactician with terrible singing. Accidentally drawn into the gray fog space by Klein while hunting members of the Psychological Alchemy Society. His traumatic childhood created an excessive thirst for power, leading him to secretly advance beyond Church oversight by consuming double potions, severely slowing his progression. After becoming archbishop of the Rosedale Archdiocese, he privately trained Beyonders outside the 'Judges' system. During the return ritual of 'Mr. Door' Bethel Abraham, he revealed his status as a 'Fool' blessed to save Rosedale's people, subsequently defecting from the Church of Storms to become Pope of the Sea God Church. Resigned this position by the end of Book 1 to explore the Western Continent per the Fool's oracle, returning in Book 2. In 'Circle of Destiny', he investigates Western Continent intelligence and the Revenge of the Azure's secrets, later assisting in battles against the Moss Ascetic Order after the Fool's awakening. During volume 8's battle against the Witch Sect, he seized Grade 0 sealed artifact 'Sunset Rooster', using it to switch pathways and advance to Sequence 2: Defiled Speaker of the Hanged Man pathway.

Lord of the Mysteries
Lord of the Mysteries is a Chinese web novel by “Cuttlefish That Loves Diving,” blending steampunk, Lovecraftian horror, and xianxia elements. The protagonist, Zhou Mingrui, inexplicably awakens in the body of Klein Moretti, a university graduate in a world resembling the Victorian era. In this world of steam engines and occult secret societies, Klein joins the Nighthawks (a clandestine order) and gains access to the “Gray Fog,” enabling communication with other paranormal “Beyonders”. Posing as the figure “Mr. Fool,” Klein organizes a secret Tarot Club alongside Audrey Hall, Alger Wilson, Derrick Berg and others, using it to investigate supernatural mysteries. The official press blurb captures the tone: “Through the storm of steam and machinery… I found myself in a world of guns, cannons, giant ships, airships… potions, divination, curses, hanged men… This is the legend of the Fool”.
