Tragic backstory: suffered bullying after joining Xiaoyao Sect, originally a son of Dongfang family (from a collateral branch) whose identity was usurped by Dongfang Xianyun. In previous life, after being expelled from the sect, became a demon cultivator and rose to become the top Demon Lord of Three Realms, only to be slain by Dongfang Xianyun (actually the true first disciple) at Demon Fall Cliff. After reincarnation, rejoined Xiaoyao Sect and schemed to make Dongfang Xianyun meet Yi Xiangfeng (his master in previous life), hoping to make him become a demon cultivator destined for execution - though never acted on it. Secretly practiced demonic arts while battling inner demons. During the Demon Subjugation Conference, controlled by past-life demons, he mistakenly severely injured his lifelong crush Xiaoyao Xinghe, triggering memories of past tragedies and causing public demonic core formation. Currently fleeing with Gong Changsheng, Yi Xiangfeng, and the comatose Xiaoyao Xinghe after being forcibly sent away by Dongfang Xianyun.
