In the late Southern Song Dynasty, Bai Suzhen (White Snake) floods Jinshan Temple to save her lover Xu Xian, but is imprisoned under Leifeng Pagoda by the monk Fahai. Xiao Qing (Green Snake), driven by obsession, is trapped in the Asura City illusion. There, she allies with a mysterious masked youth to survive apocalyptic trials (wind, fire, water, and qi) and uncover truths about identity and reincarnation.
