White Snake: The Origin
In the late Tang Dynasty, a snake demon named Xiao Bai fails to assassinate a corrupt Taoist master and loses her memory. Rescued by a village boy Xu Xuan, they uncover a conspiracy while confronting forbidden love between humans and spirits. The film reimagines the legendary romance of Bai Suzhen and Xu Xian.
White Snake 2: Green Snake
In the late Southern Song Dynasty, Bai Suzhen (White Snake) floods Jinshan Temple to save her lover Xu Xian, but is imprisoned under Leifeng Pagoda by the monk Fahai. Xiao Qing (Green Snake), driven by obsession, is trapped in the Asura City illusion. There, she allies with a mysterious masked youth to survive apocalyptic trials (wind, fire, water, and qi) and uncover truths about identity and reincarnation. The film explores themes of obsession, sacrifice, and transcendence.
