The Legend of White Snake is a classic Chinese folk tale adapted by cartoonist Tsai Chih Chung. It follows Bai Suzhen, a thousand-year-old white snake who takes human form to repay a mortal’s kindness, falling in love with Xu Xian. However, their love is challenged by the monk Fahai. With minimalist ink-wash art and witty dialogue, Tsai’s version blends tradition with modern storytelling.
